Secondhand tarot cards?

Question

I've only ever bought used tarot cards and was wondering if that was ok. I've cleansed them all once really good and regularly do lighter cleaning's, but wanted to make sure. They are normally so expensive and I buy them in good condition too since it's so much cheaper. I was just wondering..

Personally, mine have been gifts, but new. I don't see why there would be  a problem if you clean them very good. Use them to do a simple reading, if you feel that the energy is good and clear, then keep using them. If you feel that the energy is somewhat closed, or they are not talking to you, then you would be better off buying new ones :)

Used stuff is fine, always, but if I don't know the person who used them before, I'd give them a good bath.

What I'd do is get a dish of sea salt (the stuff you buy at the grocery is fine) and add 2-3 drops of lavender oil (or some lavender bods from the bulk herbs section). Mix well. Wrap the deck of cards in a lightweight silk or cotton cloth and bury in the salt over the three nights of a full moon, if you have one of those handy.

Toss out the salt mixture afterward. The cards should be juju-free and smell really nice too boot.

So long as they have been cleansed so that it is your energy channeling through them then you should be just fine.
