I need to know. Does Jellow have animal bones in it? Something like that might seem trivial to some..as they would say "well it's just crushed up animal bones" but..if it is true.. something doesn't quite seem right about eating animal bones and not knowing how they got there or what animal it's coming from.

  1. Gelatin, food dye. I heard its from horse hooves (feet). Maybe they boil the bones down to liquid to. I eat jello with no problem, knowing it is good for the nails and skin and eyes.

  2. Jello has gelatin and it's not a secret ingredient if it's on the label.  Gelatin is the substance extracted from animal connective tissue therefore not vegetarian.

  3. It's not a secret.  Gelatin is made from rendering bone, hide and connective tissue.  It always has been.

  4. Jello has gelatin and it comes from pigs so it is not Vegetarian.  I think it comes from the fat of a pig.
