Secretly stole my wife's painkillers, what to do?

My wife just had kidney surgery and is in a lot of pain. I am addicted to painkillers and stole hers and put some blood pressure medication pills in the bottle instead.

Now she is in a lot of pain and I am starting to feel really bad. Does anyone know where I can get some pain killers for her without getting in trouble? What should I do?

You need to TELL HER! If she just had surgery you could be poisoning her with these other medications. The kidneys are important regulators of blood pressure and if you are overloading her with medicine she doesn't need, it will produce complications and she could die. Don't let her die. You will have that for the rest of your life. Please tell the truth and make sure she gets the right medication and DONT TAKE HER PILLS AGAIN!

Tell her. You've got to break down and let her know you've got a problem before this turns into aggression and you won't be able to talk to her sanely. I've seen it happen. My family is pentecostal and my brother in law messed up his leg and had to get surgery putting him on heavy painkillers, he got addicted and just lost it one day revealing the truth. Luckily they made it through it and he got help... If you let her know and agree to work through it, she can call the doctor and request more... they usually understand after surgery and don't question much.

But really start the withdrawals now, because you'll have to eventually, you can't do this forever. And if the doctor wont help y'all can try a pain clinic or lots of ibuprofen temporarily.

Well randy, this whole thing is kind of ironic. My dad, randy, died last year because he was addicted to oxy contin and other pain killers.

You should feel terrible about what your doing to yourself, because obviously you are hurting people around you too. Please get professional help, and please don't end up like my Dad..

That was smooth. She could have a reaction to the blood pressure med. especially after surgery. You have a problem and you need to come clean about it. Your wife is in pain and needs to be able to call her doctor and tell him what you did, so that she can get pain meds. I hope she doesn't take the blood pressure meds, it will NOT HELP and may cause more serious side effects than just the pain. You are a dumb ****. Call her dr and ask if you can get a refill because you had a hard time opening the bottle cap and they fell down into a dirty sink.  I hope she catches on to you.

tell her the TRUTH, now. before you get blamed for her death. go now. the sooner the better, so she can get her prescription refilled.

go to rehab, if you are willing to put your own wife in pain, just to get your fix... that's pretty sad. if you live her, she should come first, and you should realize that you need help and do it for her sake.

as for the painkillers, have your wife contact the doctor and let him know that the prescription is not helping the pain and ask if he can prescribe something else, then tell your wife to lock the pills away somewhere where you can not get ahold of them.

Tell her the truth.  She will either forgive you or she will not, but in either case, she will know and will be able to try and get some.

If I were your wife and you did that to me, I would lay in waiting till I got well and then I would let you have it with both barrels.  That is something a husband just does not do to his wife.  NO MATTER WHAT!
