Section 8 and Domestic Violence charges?

Will section 8 be denied if a couple has domestic violence charges in their record? They have 4 children and are trying to get low income houseing.

Are there anyother options, Anything?

I'm sorry, I'm poorly educated on this and i'm just trying to help them.They deserve a better life and a good start.

Usually no. Two completely separate entities handle each issue and the other usually has no info on it.
