  1. having a security camera especially when you are out of the house can help ensure that your baby is well taken cared of. you can set up a security cameras in your house or in places where your baby and the nanny can be found. you can have this connected to a computer that would send live video feeds to your computer at work.

  2. There sure are. Go to x10.com and they have lots of cameras there.

  3. Honestly, the easiest way is to get a webcam (can have more than one)and download the program ORB.Its FREE. Then all you have to do is be connected to the internet, go on to the website, log-in, and you get live video. I actualy to this so i can see my dog.

  4. go to www.techcctv.com or give them a call they can help

  5. Short answer: Yes.

    Long answer:

There are many different ways to go on this. It depends what your budget is, how many cameras you want to put up and what kind of resolution you need... Indoor or outdoor? night vision? Pan/tilt/zoom? Totally hidden? Wired or wireless? Image/video storage options?

X10 is one way to go - if you can dedicate a computer to being on all the time. The X10 cams generally need to connect to a computer and the computer is the "server". So if you are expecting to be "covert" that can be problematic because the computer needs to be on - and have access to a broadband internet connection (cable or DSL).

Another method is to have the cameras connect to a DVR that is on and secured somewhere. The DVR can be assigned an IP address associated with your home computer network:

this particular unit can handle 4 cameras - you can also get 8, 9, or 16 channels DVRs. They record captured video to a hard drive and can be accessed via broadband internet connection.

    And you need the cameras:

The little "bullet cams" can be pretty discrete... The domed ones, too.

Then, you could always bypass this - the wireless internet cameras are their own "server", but image storage can be an issue (normally on a computer somewhere - not necessarily at the same location as the cameras):
