Poll: Have I Been Hacked??

I think I was hacked.

I was on Yahoo! Answers. I clicked on a question and it brought me to the log in page. Sometimes this happens.

But, it not only said LOG IN (to go on Answers), it said (in red font)

"You can't be logged on the same account 2 times).

I wasn't! That was strange. I tried my password and ID millions of times. (I used the full ID, no caps lock, and I typed slowly)

I left it alone for a while. When I went back on, it said I have mail but it said to log in to access the mail.

I went on Answers, found my question, clicked on the username, and it said ~is not available.

I tried everything millions of times.

I think someone hacked my account, changed the password and deleted the acocunt!

I am 100% sure that I didn't delete it and it did NOT get suspended.

What happened? Have I been hacked??

How could I have been hacked tho?

Only 3 people know my email (I didn't give it out online) and websites know it and my school knows it. Yahoo! is safe so I have no idea who found out what.

! I have important stuff in my account!

Did Yahoo! do something and delete and why?

Should I call their service number? (What's the phone number?)

PLEASE please please help me!!

What should I do??

PS: If I was hacked, did they just hack my Yahoo! account, or my whole computer system? Becasuse I want to be safe. I erased my hard drive :( and I'm not using any other accounts in case this happens again.

??

  1. i think you have been hacked or u have a virus try running avg v8 free scan and if anything come up delete it. keep avg 8 on and it will protect you

  2. Alright calm down, first of all, your yahoo account was hacked.  This could be a info-stealing trojan virus or keylogger.  I recommend you to stop typing in your personal passwords any online accounts you have like myspace, google, etc (if you have one).  Scan your computer for viruses.  Kaspersky, Nortan, avast!, and AVG are all fine.  (Mcafee is not so good).  Avast and AVG are both free so you can download them from the internet.

Personally, I use Avast and it works great.
