Security guard training

so i went to an interview and i need training to be a security guard they are charging 500 dollars which includes the guard card, 8hr power to arrest course, additional 16 hrs, cpr, report writing , tear gas, and firearms training, and finger printing they also gurantee a job after this is done

is this a good deal?

the company is called crossroad security.

  1. live scan fingerprints are 52.00 in california any a guard card is 250.00 so if it includes both of those plus additional classes and training, i would say it's a good deal.


  2. NO!

    This is a rip off. You can get the same training at any contract security company in California. You will have to pay for the LiveScan when you go to get your prints taken. The contract security company will train you and will take the cost of the Guard Card out of you first several checks. Schools like this are a HUGE scam..............

  3. $500.00 is about the price for training however, you should go to a few security companies to see if crossroad is a reputable training school. Also ask if your certificate will be accepted.
