Security up date vista service pack 2

Question

I keep getting a security update for microsoft xml core service 4-0 service pack 2 the code kb936181 i have installed this 71 times in the last 3 days i have tried to get the update to download it's self but vista keeps asking for my permission.

any help to solve this problem

turn on UAC (ADMIN RIGHTS)

1 start menu

2 click-on your display picture on the top right

3 Turn User Accounts Control on or off

4 check box UAC

You'll need to be logged in as administrator if it asks for permission. Another one of the flaws in Vista.

Get Service Pack 3, it has resolved many issues and included third party drivers and fixes.

download the install cleanup tool: Save the file to the desktop.

Double click the msicuu2.exe to install

goto Start> All Programs> Windows Installer Clean Up

See if you can find MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 or its updates. If so, remove them.

Restart the computer.

download the following files and save them to the Desktop.

MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2

After the files are downloaded double-click the files to install them in order. (MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 first, then the update)

Goto windows update site to check that it has worked (microsoft.com)
