See The Legend tipped for success in Graham McLean Memorial Handicap Hurdle
See The Legend will be eying a victory in the Graham McLean Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Carlisle in England on Sunday, November 4, 2012. All of her opponents are struggling for consistency, thus no one can be declared as the outright favourite to succeed
in the class-5 encounter, which is scheduled to start at 15:45 GMT.
A total of 11 entries have been listed for the 2 mile, 3 furlong and 110 yard contest, which has a cash prize of £2,144 for the winner. They will have to cope up with a difficult situation, as the track has been affected badly by rain.
Due to this, the going has become soft, which will demand a lot of extra effort from the participants. Some of them will not be able to make a strong impression under these conditions, thus their respective trainers might withdraw their names from the entry
list.
On the other hand, there are a few runners, who will enjoy running on such a track and they will see this as an opportunity of winning the race.
One of them will be Some Lad, who has managed to get the attention of the bookmakers. He has been rated as the favourite to succeed and the main reason behind that is his ability to perform well on a wet ground.
The seven-year-old gelding does not have a very good record and will need to be at his absolute best in order to shine. He has appeared in nine hurdles until now, but has never managed to finish on top of the table.
This is not a positive sign for his team and the bettors will be discouraged to risk money on him in the end. However, he has secured runner up position and third place once, which show that he can fight at the front.
Coming back to See The Legend, she will also enjoy running on a wet track and it will be a good idea to risk some money in her favour. She has participated in 10 races over hurdles until now, winning one of them whereas secured the runner up and third place
once each. She will be accompanied by Fearghal Davis today.
