Seebright set to stand first in Flat Race at Towcester
Seebright is all set to demonstrate a brilliant performance at Towcester racecourse in a bid to claim top spot in GG.Com Racing Forum Maiden Open National Hunt Flat Race that will be held today, April 24.
With just one race to his name, the Victor Dartnall-trained bay gelding has attained the highest odds in the betting market against a dozen of rivals including Follow The Facts, Killimore Cottage, Legal Legend, Lower Hope Dandy, Magic Moon, Oyster Shell,
Spider Palm, Teals Token, Jack The Cracker, Mrbob Escott, Thefriendlygremlin and Up Your Game.
The high-stakes Class 6 contest over a distance of 2 miles is scheduled to start at 7:55 (GMT). The prize purse contains £1,365.
Seebright excellently grabbed a runner-up rank in his only outing on March 7, 2012. Running against 7 competitors, the talented horse performed well but failed to finish first unfortunately.
The five-year-old novice runner is looking to break his maiden today. If he runs to his best and capitalises properly on his inherent capabilities, his chances to finish first in the Flat Race will be more than 90 percent.
However, Lower Hope Dandy and Oyster Shell have enough potential to give Seebright a tough time on the track as each of this duo has proved his stamina during the last couple of months.
Lower Hope Dandy marvellously grabbed 4th position against a dozen of opponents in his only race on February 25, 2012. Venetia Williams’ grey gelding is quite confident to hunt for first position in today’s marathon.
On the other hand, Oyster Shell also finished 4th against 11 rivals in his maiden start on March 14, 2012. The Henry Daly-trained bay gelding is likely to struggle hard for success.
In this situation, Seebright will have to unleash a meticulous and calculated run as even a slight mistake may deprive him of success. The race is likely to have many twists and turns. Let us get ready for a thrilling action. Good luck the hot favourite
horse along with all of his competitors.
