Seedless aiming to upset Upthemsteps in Sir John Hanmer Handicap Chase
Seedless has got a pretty decent chance of claiming the Sir John Hanmer Handicap Chase at Bangor-on-dee in England on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. She likes running in this format and it will be a tough ask for her opponent to prevent her from finishing
at the top of the table.
The seasoned mare has participated in quite a few events overall, but her experience in chase events is not much. Despite that, her confidence level will be good and she will be looking forward to a strong run today.
A victory will earn her a cash prize of £3,217 from the class-4 contest, which is scheduled to kick off at 13:30 GMT. There will be six other solid competitors against her and they will try their best to entertain the spectators at the end of the day, as
all of them have been trained really well by their respective teams.
The weather has not been too bad, but rain has affected the ground to some extent. The going has been described as good to soft by the bookmakers, which means that some extra effort will be required to shine in the 2 mile, 4 furlong and 110 yard race.
Upthemsteps has managed to get the attention of the bookies, as his performances in this form of racing have been really impressive. Moreover, the track conditions will suit him more than others, which means that he will be competitive at the end of the
day.
Due to this, the punters will be looking forward to risk the maximum number of bets in favour of the seven-year-old gelding. He should not get carried away though, as his competitors cannot be taken lightly at all.
The Ian Williams’ trainee will be chasing a hat-trick of victories today under jockey, Dougie Costello.
However, Seedless will look to spoil the party for the favourite runner, as she too is carrying a pretty decent momentum right now. She has appeared in three chase events, winning one of them whereas finished as a runner up and in third place on the same
number of times.
Therefore, the Donald McCain’s trained mare will definitely be competitive and it will be a good idea to risk a few bets in her favour as well.
