Seeing as Harry Reid loves solar and wind power so much.?

Can we just cover every square inch of Nevada with windmills and solar panels?

That sounds like a wonderful idea, how long before the mob has him whacked because of power shortages in Las Vegas and Reno!

Maybe some day he will realize that even under absolute ideal conditions (even to the point of covering much of Nevada with wind farms and solar panels), that wind and solar STILL won't make up 10% of the US' total energy production.  If W&S get up to 5% it would be a miracle.

Face it Harry -- W&S won't even make a dent in our energy consumption.

Now, for me, personally, because of higher fossil-fuel costs, I can now justify spending >$10k on solar panels for my own home.  For me, it might become reality to be grid-dependant, but for the nation: no.

Harry is just going to cripple America.  It's admirable that he wants to get us off oil, but we cannot do it cold turkey.

Nuclear is the best option I have seen for an overall solution.

We need a little bit of it all, plain and simple.
