Seeing my ex-boyfriend situation?

[We're juniors in HS] So...my ex boyfriend and I broke up a little over 3 weeks ago. Today was the first day of school, and we got a class together. It was really awkward. He just walked past me like he never knew me. When the teacher was assigning seats, we all had to stand in front of the class, and he got seated before me. I was thinking the whole time...please don't put me next to him. And when he was waiting, his face was all fleshed and red. What does that mean? Will things get less awkward as the year goes on? It makes me really sad to see things differently :( Do boys ever get feelings that come back to them when they see their ex again? It was a mutual break up, then I wrote a letter to him, he never wrote back, which made it more awkward for me.

i was kind of in a similar situation..my boyfriend and i went on a mutual break and then he broke up with me about 3 weeks ago..and school started about a week and a half ago and i hadnt seen him/talked to him for 2 weeks before that...we saw each other in the hallway and it was really sad..we smiled at each other and went our seperate ways. i think boys definitely get feelings again when they see their ex..especially if it wasn't a break-up that ended harshly.  i think guys take a lot more time to heal, whether they show it or not. they hide it by acting like nothing is wrong and maybe even trying to find a rebound girl because guys at this age don't really have a clue how to deal with their feelings so they act tough like a man and hold back like they were taught growing up, whereas us girls are full out sad/mad/confused and everything else you can imagine all at once...and we show it. my ex boyfriend and i arent really talking right now, i still want to be friends, and i'm waiting very patiently for him to come around, because i know he will. just act like yourself, have fun, laugh and make sure he sees that. he will start missing you sooner or later...
