Seek The Cash favourite for The William & Peter King Standard
M. Dartnall’s trainee, Seek The Cash, is rated as favourite for The William & Peter King Standard at Swindon in England on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. The winning greyhound will bag a cash prize of £150.
The Grade OR event will start at 20:04 GMT and the runners will be combating each other over a distance of 480 metres. Following are the six entries confirmed for the flat race: Seek The Cash, Jaytee Ray, Glenbane Air, Bealady Rover, Hedsor Arthur and Finbars
Rainbow.
The competition will be close, as all the runners have the potential to win. However, the bookmakers believe that Seek The Cash will walk away with victory at Swindon today, as he is in good rhythm at the moment.
It will not be an easy task for the favourite hound to dominate proceedings, as he can find things difficult in this class. He finished sixth in his most recent appearance, which suggests that he lacks confidence. Therefore, the punters will be a touch hesitant
to risk money in favour of his victory.
The black dog has been running pretty consistently at Swindon and his performances have not been that bad. He was victorious here in his second last outing, but things were a touch easier that time, as it was a grade A1 event.
Despite that, Seek The Cash has got a good chance of shining today. He is the son of Head Bound out of Paradise Alanna and was born in September 2009.
Another runner, who can do well at Swindon, is Jaytee Ray. He has been participating in this class at different venues and has been producing some decent results. He can surprise one and all with his pace, but needs a clear run in order to fight for victory
today.
P. Young’s trainee took part in a race at Swindon recently, but was unable to make an impression. He finished fourth by quite a big margin, as the top three runners were in extremely good rhythm.
However, the seasoned hound is capable of turning things around and he will be the one to watch out for. He is the son of Elite State out of Africa and was born in June 2008.
Other than the top two favourites, Glenbane Air, Bealady Rover and Hedsor Arthur might also pull off a surprise. They are good runners, but will need some luck to finish on top of the table.
