Seeking Magic seeking to win Totepool.Com Handicap
Seeking Magic is going to unleash a magical run at Folkestone in a bid to win Live Pool Information At Totepool.Com Handicap on Thursday, April 5.
The Class 4 contest over 6f distance is scheduled to start at 3:10 (GMT). For the huge prize money worth £4,528, the Clive Cox-trained bay gelding will compete against Perfect Pastime, Regal Approval, Local Singer, Kingswinford, Roodee Queen, Earlsmedic
and Speak The Truth.
Seeking Magic marvellously finished first in his last outing on October 16, 2011. Being 11-4 favourite, the maverick horse convincingly outplayed his rivals to clinch the title of Totepool Handicap at Bath track.
Prior to this, the novice runner had gained a runner-up rank in Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Handicap which was also held at Bath on September 5, 2011.
The four-year-old talented gelding started his career with an epic triumph at Kempton on December 9, 2010. He moved forward to finish 3rd each in the three subsequent starts.
Overall, The Seekers-owned sprinter has won two out of his total 6 starts to date, earning £6,363 as prize money.
At the moment, Seeking Magic is carrying immense confidence which will help him deliver a sterling performance in tonight’s showdown. His chances to finish first are as high as 90 percent.
Among the other runners, Earlsmedic and Speak The Truth are likely to struggle hard for top position in the Handicap.
Earlsmedic superbly grabbed 3rd spot in the last race of his career on February 22, 2012. The Stuart Williams-trained gelding finished second in his last outing on January 26. During December 2011 and January 2012, he bagged a couple of runner-up
positions.
On the other hand, Speak The Truth won two races in a row at Lingfield during January 2012. Prior to this, the trainee of Jim Boyle had gained a couple of consecutive runner-up spots during November-December 2011.
