There was a National Geographic article that came out a while back--at least before 2004. The photographer had gone around the world, photographing families from several different countries in front of their houses, with all their possessions set out in front of them. I know that there was a family from somewhere near the Amazon, as well as a family from one of the Russia border-countries (Estonia maybe?).
For the life of me I can't seem to find the article...if anyone remembers the title or knows which issue it was in, I will be incredibly grateful.
