  1. LeeL answer this question already, but most the Germans speaking English and I just want to say don't worry.

  2. Please call the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung. They can provide you with information about doctors who can speak English.

    Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Trier

    Balduinstr. 10 -14

    54290 Trier

    Tel.: (0651) 4603-0

    ---------

    Alternatively, check out this site:

    http://www.kv-trier.de/asp/cms/doc-find/...

    Chose "Trier" and click "absenden".

    Then you'll be presented with a form where you can define your search.

    First, there's "Gebiets- und Zusatzbezeichnungen, Schwerpunkte, etc."

    You are looking for a "Hals- Nasen- Ohrenarzt".

    On the right side, you'll find various options about the doctor:

    "Geschlecht" = Gender of the doctor

    "PLZ" = Zip-code

    "Ort" = City

    "Kreis" = County

    ---> "Fremdsprache" = foreign language. Chose "englisch"

    "Ich bevorzuge folgende Sprechzeiten:" <--- In this section you can give your preferred times for a visit. Since doctors don't practice on every day it is useful if you can only go at a certain day / hour.

    "Wochentag" = day of the week

    "Tageszeit" = time

    Click "Suchen".

    You'll get a list with doctors matching your search. The abbrevation "FA" in the third row from the right indicates a "Facharzt" - specialist. The "HA" indicates a normal doctor.

    When you click on the name of the doctor, you'll see ´more details about the doctor and times of operation etc.
