The former Hamburg striker insists that there are no improvements whatsoever at the club and has raised question marks over Arnesen’s role at the club.

Uwe Seeler, a former West http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international who played for Hamburg, insisted is critical of Hamburg’s sporting director after the poor start to the season. He insisted that there is no improvement whatsoever in the team’s performance
and blamed the Danish chief for bringing in below par players in the summer transfer window.
The legendary striker claimed that the team consists of players who do not even deserve to play in the Bundesliga.
“I am quite concerned because I cannot see any improvements at all. But all he keeps repeating is that the team is developing, and that somebody else is coming, then somebody else. We have players who are not good enough for the
Bundesliga, it is as simple as that,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Seeler advised the club to sign at least three quality players before the summer transfer window closes. He insisted that the side needs a good defender, a creative midfielder and a natural goalscorer.
The former striker expressed his disappointment at the home loss to Nuremberg and stated that the performance was even worse than the displays last season.
“We need a creative player who can move around the midfield, a poacher who can cause problems in the penalty area and somebody to stabilise the defence. What I saw against Nurnberg was even worse than last season,” he concluded.
Hamburg will next face Werder Bremen at the Weserstadion on Saturday, September 1. The team will be looking to secure their first win of the new season which will certainly be a difficult task considering Bremen play very well
at home.
