After watching F1 qualifying today it seems no one in the F1 commentary hardly knowledge that Mark Webber was second on the grid instead they skipped talking about him in favored of the red and silver cars behind him. I would love to see him in one of these teams as I think he would do a fantastic job and be on the podium more often.

  1. He isvery good with a lot of potential but a lot of the former F1 World Champions were either the Americas or Asia. Like in 1979 when Jody Schecter won it all and he's from South Africa.

  2. The commentators were broadcasting their home British Grand Prix so were naturally focusing on British drivers. Button , Coulthard , and their new hope Hamilton.. And yes Mark Webber is a gun . He has continually pushed inferior machines to results far greater than the pundits thought. Sadly he has only a few years left at the top.

  3. It isn't anyrthing to do with him being Australian it is because he isn't in the fight for the drivers or constructors championship.

Pretty much all James Allen was going on about during the first race was how the result was going to effect Hamiltons drivers championship push.

It used to be they would comentate on the races with championship talk shelved until the middle of the race calender. But with the mighty Lewis having so terribly having fate cheat him out of winning the championship in his rookie year, this has left James Allen totally consumed.

  4. Mark's a great driver and pulled a great performance out of the bag today and yes, he could do as good a job as more or less anyone out there.

Just one thing, Massa is from Brasil.

  5. He did a great job for sure, but he'll be on a light fuel load. He'll fade as the race goes on.
