I currently am running a 12 inch cvx with a 1000 watt kicker amp and it seems like i lost power some how. MY setup before, 2 10 inch mtx, running to a 600 watt amp, was working well, with no bass boost or gain setup all the way high, then i sold it and had this new setup. now it seems that on low settings, the sub wont even hit, but when i turn up the bass boost, gain and frequency, it seems to work ok. now i dont wanna run the amp to the max so CAN SUM1 HELP! the current amp is not mine but it was tested on my friends 15 inch L7 and in the LOW settings, it was working asif it should. might be my 80 amp fuse taht i change or wiring... IDK?! HELP!

  1. make sure your connections are all tight and your battery post and check the wire from the battery,if it has acid in it ,cut that part off ,wireing doesn't have any acid on or in it,then make sure you have the right size fuses ,that kills the power ,and your deck might not hit hard as his deck, thats your answer bud!!

  2. Why would you NOT want to turn the amp up? That's what it's for. The CVX is 750 RMS, so you can turn up the amp to about 3/4 without worrying about blowing it. Could also be your box. Is it the same kind that you had the 10"s in? More info will get you more help.
