Sehwag and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taylor-c92915 fit to take the field vs KKR, says Eric Simons - Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/LRPL-Taylor-c1849 have both recovered from the seasonal flu attack and are all set to take the field against Kolkata
Knight Riders in the first qualifier of the ongoing season five of Indian Premier League, to be played at Subrata http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-Symonds-c44611 Sahara Stadium, Pune, on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
"We didn't have an extended practice session for them. They had light practice as both were recovering from bouts of flu. We are confident that they will be fine," revealed Simons while speaking to the media reporters on the eve of
the match on Monday.
The swashbuckling Sehwag, who has been in tremendous form this season, missed Delhi’s last recent matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DPMD-Jayawardene-c1397 led the table
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Thomas-Donald-Topley-c93395, losing against RCB and defeating Punjab based Kings XI.
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780’s final league game of the tournament against Kings XI with similar complains.
Another Daredevils' officials had also revealed on Sunday that the hard-hitting Delhi opener was ready to take the reins against the Knight Riders.
“Despite having been on antibiotics, Sehwag looked fine when he joined the team at the (New Delhi) airport. He should play versus the Kolkata Knight Riders,” a DD official revealed ahead of the crunch game.
Sehwag has been leading the side from the front all through the tournament and his return to the Delhi outfit would lift the side considerably and cause a headache of sorts to Gautam Gambhir’s Knight Riders. He is the leading run scorer for Daredevils with
a tally of 484 runs in 14 innings, including five half centuries.
After finishing at the bottom last season, the Daredevils made a stunning comeback this year and have been the most consistent team in the league stages of the IPL-V, as they finished at the top with 11 wins in 16 outings. Simons however, warned his side
against complacency, saying, “It is rewarding that we have finished on top, but in Twnety20 you don't really get a platform.”
