Sehwag banking on home games against KXIP and RCB to confirm a berth in playoffs – Cricket News Update
The Delhi Daredevils' skipper, Virender Sehwag, is looking forward to win the ensuing two home games against Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore to confirm berth in the playoffs stage of the ongoing fifth edition of the
lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL).
With nine wins in 13 outings so far, the Sehwag-led Daredevils find themselves at the top of the IPL-V and are one of the strongest contenders to make it to the knockout stage. But given the fact that this year’s Indian Premier League
is the most open contest in the history of the tournament, the Daredevils still need a couple of wins to seal their position in the tournament semis.
"We have two matches against Kings XI [Punjab] and RCB [Royal Challengers Bangalore] at home and hopefully we will win those to make it to the playoffs," said Sehwag while speaking to the media reporters after receiving nine-wicket thrashing at the hands
of defending champions Chennai Super Kings.
