Minnesota Lynx vs. Los Angeles Sparks
Seimone Augustus
Seimone Augustus scored a team-high 22 points in Minnesota Lynx’s 85-72 victory over Los Angeles Sparks. The guard-forward was terrific from the field, shooting 10 for 17 in more than 32 minutes of action.
Lindsay Whalen
Lindsay Whalen was another prominent contributor in the fourth consecutive victory for Minnesota. The 29-year-old guard racked up 16 points, on an 8 of 9 shooting from the floor, and also dished out seven assists.
Kristi Toliver
Lynx spoiled Kristi Toliver’s big night for Los Angeles Sparks. The 24-year old scored a game-high 28 points in the loss.Toliver, daughter of former NBA referee George Toliver, shot 9 for 14 from the field, including 4 for 6 from
three-point range, and 6 for 9 from free throw line.
Ebony Hoffman
Ebony Hoffman also kept her recent run of strong play going with 24 points on an almost perfect 10 for 11 shooting from the field. The player also grabbed nine rebounds and had three steals in Sparks’ loss.
Atlanta Dream vs. Tulsa Shock
Angel McCoughtry
Angel McCoughtry played the best game of her career in Atlanta Dream’s 76-68 win over the WNBA-worse Tulsa Shock at BOK Center. McCoughtry punctuated a carrier-high 37 points, including 20 of them in the first half. The 6-foot-1
forward also added four rebounds, three steals and two blocks in the fourth consecutive win of Atlanta.
McCoughtry, two-time WNBA All-Star, shot 11 for 22 from the field and 15 for 19 from free throw line. In addition to a terrific performance, the 24-year-old scored four crucial points with 02:57 to go in the fourth quarter when
Tulsa managed to make it a three-point contest.
Coco Miller
Guard Coco Miller came off the bench with 12 points and a rebound in the victory. The player hit 6 for 11 from the floor.
Liz Cambage
Tulsa’s rookie centre Liz Cambage led her team with 16 points, five rebounds and two blocks. The 19-year-old young player shot 4 for 10 from the field and posted 8 of 10 free throws in 19 plus minutes.
Tiffany Jackson
Tiffany Jackson recorded her third straight double-double in the losing effort. Jackson pulled down a game best 17 rebounds and erupted for 11 points in the loss. The player also contributed three assists, two steals and two blocks
on the night.
Seattle Storm vs. Phoenix Mercury
Sue Bird
Sue Bird had a strong all-around game with 18 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in Seattle Storm’s 83-77 victory over Phoenix Mercury. Bird, a seven-time WNBA All-Star, went 6 for 17 from the field, including
3 for 7 beyond the arc.
Diana Taurasi
Diana Taurasi led Mercury in their second straight loss, finishing with a game high 26 points in more than 33 minutes of action. Taurasi also added four assists, three steals and three rebounds. The shooting guard hit 9 for 15
from the field and 5 for 6 from the line.
