On Sunday night, Seimone Augustus played a phenomenal game for Minnesota Lynx. The entire shooting guard led Lynx to their fifth straight victory with 19 points, six rebounds, and two steals. The most interesting part was that
she did not commit any turnover in 27 minutes of play. The 27-year-old had a 7-for-13 shooting from the field and netted 4 of her 5 free throws. She scored 12 of her points in the second half of the game.
Lindsay Whalen
Lindsay Whalen had 13 points and five assists on the night, while finishing on 5 for 8 from the field and 2 for 2 from free throw line. Whalen scored 11 points in the first half. The 29-year-old player is averaging 6.5 assists
per game this season and is second in the league in free throws made.
Maya Moore
Rookie Maya Moore contributed 12 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in her first game for Lynx.
Rebekkah Brunson
Minnesota forward Rebekkah Brunson played well for Lynx yet gain. Brunson has been outstanding this season and has recorded double-double in every game this season, tying the franchise career record of 17 in barely a season-plus
with the team.
The 29-year-old chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds on the night. She ended the game on 4 for 8 shooting from the field and scored 2-of-2 free throws.
Teammate Augustus praised the tremendous performance of Brunson and said, "Rebounding, you can't teach that," "It is all about heart and wanting to get the ball. Obviously, [Brunson] has it."
Lindsey Harding
Lindsey Harding played a vital role to keep the faltering Atlanta Dream afloat. Lindsey propelled her team with 14 points and also grabbed three assists and three rebounds in 31 plus minutes of action. The Atlanta point guard also
hit a three-pointer and pinned 7-of-10 free throws.
Erika de Souza
Erika de Souza had a double-double in the loss. The 29-year-old centre chipped in with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. The player also blocked four shots and was 4-for-9 from the field.
Coco Miller
Coco Miller only played 20 minutes on the night but played the 32-year-old guard recorded 10 points plus five rebounds and three assists off the bench.
