Seine Cruise in Paris?

Question

Has Anybody ever been to paris an been on the Seine Cruise?

im going in like 2 months and want to know if im wastin my time or not.

I disagree with rsunny above.  Sorry, but on our first night in Paris we took the Batueux Pariseans dinner cruise and it was exceptional.  We saw the City of Lights come alive before our eyes and the Eiffel Tower twinkles for 5 minutes at 5 before the hour.  It is magical to see.  Dinner was wonderful, with wine and live entertainment and you do get a nice overview of the City like Rilifane said.  This is well worth the price and I agree it should be done first thing.  We would recommend this to any first time visitor to Paris and I would certainly do it again because it was great fun and a very relaxing evening of dinner, good music, fun and we also met a very nice couple at our table as a bonus.

I haven't been on it, but my friend who lives in Paris says that it's great to do at night because they shine lights on the buildings that really bring out the colors in them.  He says we will do the cruise together when I am in Paris this September.  I can't wait!

It's great you do it on a "bateau mouche" fly boat in english  i advice you to do it on nightime because its just magic

I just came back from Paris yesterday!! Very beautiful city...

But honestly, the cruise on the Seine was whatever. I went on the pont neuf one (there's a link in an answer above) at night. It was pretty..but not *that* great. The guide didn't speak English very well and she was just a tourism student. (you might get someone else though)

Well, if you want to go on it, go on it. However, next time I go to Paris, I'll probably skip it. There are much better things to do.

Maybe you should do it just for the experience :P

Its a very pleasant experience and something you should do early in your visit to Paris. It serves as a good way to get your bearings in the city.
