Seizing assets from illegal immigrants?

Question

When illegal immigrants are found inside of a country, why is it not standard practice to seize all of their assets, before kicking them out? I think this would be a great deterrent from keeping people from coming back.

If you have skills, why not apply them to your own country and build it into something great for your kids?

I have always been for that.  It would pay for their own deportation and what is left could be put into a pool to pay for those without assets.  The money was obtained illegally, so, why not?

the law s the law and if the law said jump from a bridge into a pile of ...... u would support it right !?

1 .- every worker is deserving of his/her wage ( biblical law , moral law and human right ).

2 .- taking their money would be equal to turning them into slaves ( AGAIN u are talking about taking away their assest , u are talking about stealing what they earned with their work )

3 .- it is so ridiculous to compare someone who gets their money by working even if they are undocumented to someone who commits crimes such as the one u mentioned . are u selective when it comes to use of logic !?

4 .- it is u who needs to inform yourself about the reasons why they come into the USA the way they do and the benefit they are to the USA ... if u want serious information google state of Texas an undocumented immigrants and read the whole thing from the official site of Texas so than u wise up ...

5 .- that would be all .

edit : i said look for the website from the state of Texas not for anything u may find in google and yes there is laws and they are expensive to enforce plus enforcement only means taking their gross product away , refer to the website from the state of Texas again ( they include the taxes they pay and the cost of the services they use ... plus the gross product the state would lsoe with out them which would be almost 18 billion dollars ) .

by the way u are talking about assest , so because of that u are talking about taking their wages ( what they earned ) away .

I think they did that with Jewish and Gypsy people in n**i Germany, and made a nice profit on the belongings and the soap.

I agree.  Why let them keep what they got by being here illegally?  It's an oxymoron.  Most of them have already sent enough money back home to live on for a long time, so it's time for them to go as they arrived...with nothing!

1] they pay taxes which they don't get refunds for.

2] they work just as hard as anyone else, if not harder because it's such a huge crime to work for a living.

3] they send money home for family members who can't make a living in their home country

4] they've paid for all their personal assets with money they've made.

When you are illegal everyday you gambling. A dog-cat game.

If they will catch you they will deport you and as a gambling game that you lost you gonna loose it all.

I agree. It would cover at least part..not nearly ALL of what they have taken from us in the form of welfare and education and everything else. The money from their assets would JUST about pay for the what we would need to electrify that wall and train a bunch of pit bulls to attack on sight. While we are at, we should also take the assets..EVERY DIME from the people who hire them and knowingly harbor them..that would be another few hundred billion. Think of how much that would help America.
