In England, If someone started on you, Can you defend yourself?

  1. Only if you Fear Injury From Them....Not Threats!

  3. The law says that you can use "reasonable force". If you use a knife or gun that would not be reasonable force.

    If someone breaks into your house you may use "reasonable force"  to remove them but if you chase them down the street and/or beat them up you could face prosecution and/or being sued by the other person.  

    The police would advise you to call them to come and deal with it.

    That's my understanding anyway.

    This can be from a punch to a gun, but only when reasonably necessary.

  6. Not in england if you get attacked and defend your self, and harm the attacker you can get done, seeing as i am a black belt in karate its happens quite alot where I'm targeted and i defend myself and get suspended from school or in trouble with the police or what ever.
