Self Motivation for a sport (Rugby)?

hi everyone, i been playin rugby for about 6 years now and would love to go far in it. i have a training program and im pretty sporty and pretty fit but somedays i just dont feel like it got any ideas for self motivation??

  1. some things just cant be coached/ taught. self motivation is one of them.

    to get over the same thing, i set goals and use rewards and punishments for achieving said goals or not achieving them. less/ no playstation for failure to complete. or extra workout.


  2. it comes and goes dude, i'm 25 and this season is my 21st.  

    Rugby is like s*x, you gotta change positions every now and again to keep it from getting boring.  

    If you seriously think that you can go somewhere in rugby, take a season to play a lower grade in a position that you think would help your game.  If you're a lock, play flanker; if you're a wing, play centre and so forth.  

    The change will keep rugby interesting for you, you can play a whole new style of rugby, then, when you come back after your easy season, you'll be a better player for it.
