Self esteem resiliance and a positive self image in kids?

The environment where children learn must be based in a firm self-concept if they are to maximise their potential.

Children need to know they are loved and valued and should always feel positively about themselves. When these factors are in place children are able to face small setbacks with stoicism. Children high in self-image and self-esteem will always continue to keep trying

i need to put this into my own words but i really dont know how! i dont know what it is trying to say, could someone please please help thanks so much x

  1. it is very important to provide a child with a safe, secure and lvoing enviornment. the child should be motivated and given given validations and reinforncements to develop a positive image. he or she will develop a healthy attitude to success and failure in such a healthy enviornment.

  2. Children need to believe in themselves and have confidence to learn and development to the best of their ability-if a child feels they will just fail, they are no good etc then they wont even try to do well, will not want to attend preschool etc.

They need to know that staff enjoy being with the children and feel that they are important so that children can relax, take risks etc. They need to feel they wont have micky taken out of them or laughed at!
