Question:

Self harming!????????

The other day while my bf was at work, I got very upset because I have been recently having problems with family life, I went into the bathroom, picked up his razor and slid it across my arm several times until I bled. I feel stupid now but at the time I wasn't thinking enturely clearly. What can I do? i dnt know why I did it tbh, but I'm scared I'll do it again.

  1. You should try to get help now, believe me. Don't let it become a way of life like I did. After a while, it becomes an unbreakable habit. I started cutting when I was 13 and now at 28 I still have problems with it. It just gets worse and more severe as you get older. Like alcohol, you build up a tolerance to it and it takes deeper and bigger cuts to feel good. The last cutting episode I had I almost bled to death and cut three tendons in my arm and had to have reconstructive surgery.

  3. how old are you, mostly teens do this kind of things you have to tell him though so he can help you. if he really loves you he would help you

  4. its called cutting. you need to get some help right away, dealing with this now will make it easier in the long run. when you cut you release feel good endorphins and people get hooked on the feeling. this is for sure not something you want to deal with by yourself  

  5. Hello. Sorry to hear about everything your dealing with. You need to find something else to vent your madness.  Like go shopping, talk to a friend. You need find something else please cause you could end up killing your self.

    I just thought about everyone finding out

    so I just hid everything that I could damage myself with

    and when I felt my self getting angry I tried to vent in a different way.

  7. You should see a therapist they can help you deal with whatever you are going through... you may be depressed so some professional help could really make a difference.  Good luck and take care of yourself :)

  8. Try to find a better way to deal with your anger, frustration and depression. Take up a new hobby, preferably one that is creative, this way you can take out your angst on something else. and while most won't recommend this, blast loud music on (something you like, cheerful, mind, and not via headphones... don't want you getting tinnitus too!)
