Self piercings???????

Question

i want to pierce my septum (the piece of skin between my nose)

but i don't have the right tools,like the needle,all i have is a sewing one.

im way to young to go and get it done and my mom would never let me.

should i do it?

will it cause nerve damage?

Don't pierce yourself. You could end up damaging yourself, losing a lot of blood or a nasty infection!

The septum is a very sensitive area. There will be bleeding, and this is not the place to get a piercing done by yourself. Y not just get your nostril pierced? And get it done PROFESSIONALLY. I dont know the laws around your state, but you need to have a person 18 or older come with you from where Im from (New York).

Nerve damage is always possible with facial piercings. A friend of mine got her nose pierced and the whole left side of her face went numb and paralyzed because a nerve was hit.  She couldn't smile or anything on that side and she would drool from that side of her mouth all the time.  Luckily, her face didn't stay that way permanently.  I know lots of people though who get piercings and nothing bad happens to them.  I have many piercings, myself, and haven't had any problems with them but I wouldn't really mess with the septum, as it brings to mind people with "deviated symptoms" and how they have difficulty breathing because of it.  It's really up to you though but by all means, DO NOT do it yourself!  There are certain techniques and sterilization methods that should be used.  You don't want  a nasty infection or hepatitis from poor sterilization.

if you do it wrong you could pinch a nerve, its prob better if you hav e a friend do it.. you can use a needle it will just hurt alot when you put the ring in. you have to be 18 where i live to get any piercing without your parents, but if you or someone that you know, knows someone who can do it then id go for it. lifes to short, live it to the fullest kid. but be careful it might come out crooked to the back

don't pierce it yourself

if it goes wrong it will get infected and it could damage your nose

don't let your friends do it either (trust me, its really not a good idea)

there are some shops that you don't need to show any ID or parental consent but im not entirely sure about how safe they are

listen to your mommy and wait a few more years. since you dont have the right tools your probably gonna s***w it up and get an infection

Dude, don't. You can die because of an infection, excessive blood loss, or nerve damage.Plus, you'll look like a bull if you pierce your septum. Just wait a few more years and while waiting, think of a better place to have your piercing. :)

Ewwww.. DON'T do it. That could risk all kinds of infection and it would hurt like h**l. Also, its SUCH a disgusting place to have a piercing.

How old are you? If your Mum wouldn't let you then why are you thinking of doing it yourself?
