Question:

Self serve gas pumps cause memory and gas cap to go missing.?

Life has been altered to have everything handed to as, so when I pulled up to a gas station and had to pump my own gas, it's no wonder why I forgot the freaking gas cap at the gas station. I didn't notice until a day later (terribly embarrasing, i know!) Is it dangerous to be driving without a gas cap? I may need to drive it to go buy a new one, and how much approximately are new gas caps? Does the absense of a gass cap increase the rate your gas is used - I could've sworn my car was burning more gas than normal today, maybe I'm just paranoid.

  1. the gas is evaporating go get a cap asap it cost around 10 bucks

  2. Don't stress you would hardly notice the difference in furl usage and yep you can drive it to go buy another one (i work in a coal mine and have lost caps of my mine vehicle heaps of times and i've driven a whole shift (12 hours) without them)

  3. You're normal. Some gas may evaporate, or someone could be stealing it. I've never heard of any reasons to cause it to burn more though..

Go buy a new cap at any Murray's or Autozone etc.

    Less than $10.

You're doing your part in suporting the gas cap makers..be proud!
