If the requirements for the license are a high school diploma plus maybe some specialized training, you should be fine with the license and a GED.  In terms of meeting educational requirements, a high school diploma and a GED are equivalent.

You have to pass the state licensing exam. There is no educational requirement --they don't care if you have a ged or graduated high school. Some states require that you sit for a certain number of hours of insurance classes. Get on line and check the state requirements where you live.
