Sell my 1970 Chevelle?

I have a 1970 Chevelle Malibu that I restored with my dad when I was 16. But my dream car is a 1969 Chevelle all customized. I am 23 now and I am thinking of selling my 1970 Chevelle and finding a 1969 to restore. I need the money from selling my 70 chevelle to get a fixer upper 69. Alot of ppl have told me not to sell my first car because I will regret it. what do you think? should i sell it and do another restoration with my dad while we are young (no family for me yet), or keep my 70 Chevelle and save up for a 69?

Although it is a treasure to you, the bottom line is, it's just a car. They are pretty cool looking as well. If you are bored with it, sell it. Otherwise save up and buy one to fix up. I wish I'd hung onto a 57 chevy 2 door when I had it. It would be worth a mint now days.

The old saying the journey is more important than the destination seems appropriate. I wish I had my first car back, but even more important I wish I could restore one with my dad. Ask your Dad if he is up to another restoration. If he is enthusiastic go for it. The time you spend together will be far better than the car.

now is NOT the time to sell your '70 ... wait until you need to change your life style or you no longer have a garage ... save your $$'s and then do another fixer ... When my Dad and I did a project together it was fun and then I sold it and I have regretted that ever since  good luck .. .

One of the things I regret most in my life , (I am now 42) is selling my first car my dad and I put together.  It was a 69 Torino and without going into details it was fairly rare.  I sold t buy  atreatment system for my honeymoon house.  I whish I would have saved up money to do that now .  Unless you need to sell the car for some family emergency my advice is dont sell it an dsave your pennies and get the other car.  You will treasure the new one more and treasure the first even more.
