This is an old handgun from WWII. Its a .380 caliber and I was wondering if anyone knew of a website where I could maybe get some price checks on similar guns so I'll know what to ask. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  1. Check here for the Value and prices..>> auctionarms.com, gunsamerica.com, icollector.com....

  2. First rule of gun ownership....never sell.

  3. As I'm sure you're going to find out, most of the sites you go to on the web are merely going to point you in the direction of books that you can buy.  Most will not have a posted value on the web.  I do buy/sell/trade quiet a number of guns each year and I can tell you that condition of the gun is the most important (with very rare exceptions).  Just because a gun is old, or very old doesn't mean it has a good value.  A highly produced, 5yr old gun in NIB (new in box) condition will normally have a greater value than a 65 yr old, or older gun in poor condition.  I don't know what sort of .380 you have, but since you mentioned age first I'm going to take a guess that it's not in great condition so I'm going to throw out a value ranging from $150-$350.  Hard to say for sure though without seeing it.

  4. Gunbroker.com

  5. What is it?

Any of the online auction sites like gunbroker.com would help you appraise value.

  6. well, if you told us what type of gun it actually was. (make/model?) maybe we could figure out what it was worth. also, pictures wouldn't hurt, and the quality of the bore.

  7. Without knowing what it is I can't tell you what I see them sell for

    Try Gunbroker

But remember to look at what is actually selling not what the sellers hopes to get

Many people see a gun listed at $700 and think that that is the value

But they don't ge in to see that no one is bidding on that $700 Llama
