  1. auction. Why do you need a buy it now? Thats only for a buyer who absolutly wants it, and ebay is full of cheapo bargain hunters, so there is no need

  2. If I'm buying a vehicle, i would prefer Buy It Now so that i know the bottom line price.

  3. I wanted £550 for my car so I started the bidding at £500 and put a buy-it-now price of £600

  4. Both have their merits: The last car I sold on Ebay I put as an auction with a buy it now option - It sold within half an hour. I've bought several on Ebay, but all in auction format - I find buy it now prices are either too dear & nobody bids, or too cheap & the item goes very quickly.

A good compromise is listing it as auction, with a highish 'buy it now' with a 'best offer' option too.

  5. auction is always better just set a reserve , buy it now is for people who wanna sekll  stuff a lil quicker

  6. Ebay is such fraud. Don't be cheap and go to a car dealer ship.

  7. It all depends on the vehicle really. If it's an everyday plain car like a taurus or lumina then selling it with a buying it now works for us. But when I list something out of the ordinary like a vette or exotic then auction works better. People bid when it's a vehicle that is different or rare. But the flip side is: you need to have a good starting price and a reserve that is reasonable, the buy it now price shouldn't be so high that buying the car makes it overpriced unless it is a true collectors piece. You normally have all 3 in an auction starting price, reserve price and the buy it now price.  Some people would rather not bid if it's something they want and the BIN price is good, they'll just buy it now.  Some people wait to the end then bid hoping they get it for less. So it really all depends.
