The former AS Roma striker reflected on Italy’s chances at Euro 2012, and had a strong opinion to give about the supposed sale of their Brazilian defender, Silva.

The Bari born attacker is very confident on the chances of Italy doing well in the competition and stated that they are one of the teams to beat at the competition. that came along with it, but stated that the squad united after the loss and are now more galvanised.
He is hopeful that la Nazionale manages to go far ahead in the competition and is optimistic about the Azzurri’s chances at the tournament.
There have been strong rumours linking Cassano’s teammate, Thiago Silva, to a move away from San Siro to Paris Saint-Germain, currently being coached by Carlo Ancelotti. the Bari born striker stated that his primary aim was to give his all at the tournament.

Cassano rates the defender very highly, and echoed this by stating:
“Without Thiago Silva, at most we’d qualify for the Champions League. Besides, people should be clear with the fans. He is irreplaceable and without him we lose 50 per cent of the team. The club might consider the money coming in, but we ought to be clear.”
There have been mixed news coming from Milan and Paris, which is putting great uncertainty on the transfer.
