Selling U.S. pickup trucks internationally?

I recently read an article on CNN that a guy is selling F-150's to Central and South America. It was about people finding ways to combat gas prices. He spent $9000 each on two F-150's and sold them somewhere in Central America for $18000 each, how would you go about this entire process?
