I have about 5 bottles of wine at home. They gave it to me from work. Since I don't drink wine, I want to sell it. Where can I do that?

  1. You could seel them among your friends and family, but it is illegal in most places to sell alcohol without a license.  A better idea would be to save the bottles to use as gifts or in the event that you're having a party or are invited to one it would be great to bust out a bottle of wine.

Wish I could take them off your hands for you; I love wine!

  2. just keep if you have a friends or relatives, that you know they drink just give them as a gift

  3. It is illegal to sell alcohol in the UK without a licence. As suggested give it away to friends, or better still a charity fete where they can raffle it.

  4. Bring it to the next party you go to.  It won't be worth it trying to sell them.

  5. throw yourself a birthday party/or house warming party or something-

something to the point where everyone will bring gifts.

and then you supply the booze.

therefore your getting more gifts FOR your gifts...

it's kinda illegal to sell alcohol without a license.

    have a nice party

  6. Save them for Xmas and you have five instant presents to offer to friends and relatives and more cash to spend round the festive season

  7. First, the resell value of wines is probably not that high.  So, you may not get that much money out of selling.  When people gives wine, they tend to get the cheaper stuff from grocery stores, maybe $8-15, usually not more than $25. These are not highly collectible wines, so you will not fetch price anywhere near what they were being paid for in the first place - maybe up to $50 only.  If you are really interested, you should just google them or go to www.winezap.com to see what the retail values of your bottles.

Secondly, you need to be careful about regifting.  Regifting wines can be tricky.  For one, sometimes people end up regifting the same wine over and over, so you may end up regifting a bottle spiled wine.  Further, sometimes wines are customized - with signature or other evidence to prior gifting, so you need to be careful.

My suggestion is to keep it in your house and open when you have company over for their pleasure.  Also let your coworkers know you don't drink so they can get other gifts that you might like.
