Im selling an item on ebay. I put a buy now price of £25 on it.

Had an email this morning form someone who's interested and asked if theres a but now price for it.

I wondered what he was talking about as i know i put it on for £25, so i had alook on ebay and its not on there now!! My concern now i that its going on auction and i might only get £5 for it when i could have got £25 if this guy bought it.

So does anyone know why the £25 buy now is not on anymore? Ive got just over a day left on auction for it.

  1. Go back and edit your listing...theres an option to do it if you sign in and go to the auction page...at the top left.

  2. end the auction and re list again with just buy it now you could add make me a offer with it too .

  3. is there a bid on it?  Once the first bid is placed, the Buy it Now option goes away..

  4. The first reply above is correct - once you have a bid, the Buy It Now price automatically disappears unless you have set a reserve, even then it disappears once the reserve is reached.

There's no way to stop that happening.

If you end the listing early, you risk being reported for 'seller non-performance' by your disgruntled bidder(s) who see a bargain slipping out of their hands

No, it's not fair but as in everything you do, you need to know the rules - eBaying is no different.

  5. Are you sure it's actually still listed as an auction item, or has he clicked "buy it now" and it has been sold!

In "my ebay" summary page, on the left hand column, it gives you a list of all your selling activities. Check there to see if it is sold.
