Selling an upgraded phone?

upgraded my old ATT phone to an LG Vu today and I hate it, and am considering buying something else.

I'm pretty sure I'd be able to return it to the store, but, there's a restocking fee. I think I could sell it for much more on craigslist or ebay.

I want to take the SIM card out of the LG VU and buy an unlocked phone to put it in.

Would I be breaking any rules here?

NO, absolutely not, There is nothing wrong with that at all. Your right you could sell the Vu for more on Ebay then if you just returned it. You probably paid $100 w/ $50 mail-in rebate, or maybe $150 depending on the dealer or if you got it at a corporate store?

it best to check with the network itself of the unlocked phone..

people canunlock phones all the time after the contract is up and sell them on ebay

every firm will have different terms of business..

the law you may be breaking will be civil not criminal
