Selling on ebay advice

I have friends who sell on ebay. And I have always been curious about doing it. I have lots of books, some jewlery, even music records I could sell. I have read the area on ebay that outlines the process of selling, pricing and mailing. But I am wanting any and all advice from people who have sold or sale on ebay. The tricks and best ways to do things. I'm really confused about the pricing part of the selling. How do I exactly price my item and factor in the mailing cost? But I'm kinda clueless about it all. I havn't set up anything to sell yet, but will be taking pictures of things to sell soon to get started. So any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

  2. I'm fairly new to ebay.com also. I will try to answer you what I can.

This is a physical item and the postal fees is inured.

First, check your option. Do you want to sell to US or worldwide customer?

My suggestion is to sell to worldwide customers.

So, try to find out the cheapest and best postal service and rates and paste it near your computer.

Get a Paypal account, try Personal type account first. If you are getting more than 5 credit card payments, then you can opt to Premier type whenever you want.

Link your Paypal account with Ebay account. And start selling.

Try not to add many options as ebay fees will be higher for various options.

For beginning, try to maintain at lowest fees. (Usually $0.10 per listing)

    Try selling at ebay.com

    ebay.co.uk

    and ebay.com.au

which have higher traffic and higher currency value.
