  1. I found this site it list a lot of direct sales companies not all.  I am partial to Mary Kay or something consumable and please don't let the inventory line affect you.   inventory is optional in Mary Kay and it is a good thing to be able to have it not a disadvantage as some would have you think however it si a personal decision based on what you want for yourself in a business.

  2. If you like all natural and animal friendly health and beauty products try Arbonne International. The start up fee is $29.95 Check out their web site arbonne.com Not sure about a list though...

  3. This website lists lots of possible products and companies that do direct selling: http://www.dsa.org/forms/CompanyFormPubl...

    I recommend the following companies:

    Avon  http://www.avon.com

Mark (a younger division of Avon) http://www.meetmark.com

The Body Shop at Home  http://www.thebodyshopathome.com

    Slumber Parties  http://www.slumberparties.com

    Tastefully Simple  http://www.tastefullysimple.com

    The Pampered Chef http://www.pamperedchef.com

    Discovery Toys  http://www.discoverytoysinc.com

    Tupperware  http://order.tupperware.com

    Good luck.

P.S- They all have a start-up fee, but to my knowledge, Avon's is the least expensive ($10), and you don't have to keep inventory.  Don't worry, I'm not recruiting.  ;)

P.P.S.- Do not fall for pyramid schemes like Amway and ACN.  The main goal of these companies is recruiting, which saturates the market, leaving it almost impossible to sell, and even more impossible to make the millions of dollars they claim you can make without having hundreds of people under you.

  4. I think one good business to look into is in the telecommunications industry.  You sell products and services from your home like Local and long distance telephone services, Internet(DSL and Dial-up), digital and video phone services, Satellite TV as well as all major cellular phone and services.  You don't have the products laying around your house though.  The company has a wharehouse and when an order comes in, they drop ship it for you.  The company is world wide, so your not limited to just United States.  Here's a web site that you should take a look at for more information.

www.tiffanyvague.acnrep.com  If you have any questions, you should contact her.  Her information is on the front of the web site.

    Good Luck!

  5. Stephanie,

I am a Senior Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay, and highly recommend that you look at the Mary Kay opportunity - its profit structure is much higher than most other direct sales companies.

I have a great comparison list which has approx. 20 home selling companies listed and what the profit percent is. I have on my computer as a spreadsheet, so I can't forward it on through yahoo answers, but I would be more than happy to forward it on to your e-mail address if you are interested in it. My e-mail is: kymberleezimmer@marykay.com

After reviewing everyone's answers and following up on their info, I would be more than happy to help get you started with your Mary Kay business (if you don't already have a consultant). Please let me know if you have any questions!  :)

Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
