Question:

Selling tobacco at Walmart?

Does anyone know if Walmart has its own policy for how old their cashiers have to be to sell tobacco?

Most states have laws - like in Alabama, you have to be 19 to buy tobacco, but as long as there is someone working in the store that is 21 you can be any age to sell tobacco. That's similar to the alcohol law.

The reason - I've been told by several of my CSMs that because I'm 18, I can't work the tobacco lane, you have to be 19 to work it (age to buy tobacco in Alabama, where I live, is 19).
