Selling your car yourself- how was the experience...?

I want to sell my 2006 ford focus.

I cannot afford to advertise in the paper.

So, I'll be driving around with the "For Sale" sign and parking it when I can at a local public lot.

How long can I expect it to take to sell it?

Post to Craigslist daily with a picture and phone number. Post what it books at and it will take 30 days or less. Craigslist is FREE.

that really depends on how many people get to see it and if anyone in your area is wanting to buy a focus. Try putting it up on www.craigslist.com as well, as its free there and available for most cities/areas. It could be sold in a day or a month, just depends on who lives around you and how much you get the car out there.
