Depends what the doors are made off. Be very careful. Any spirit will get the varnish or paint off too.

Try using a product that has orange oil in it - it really works. Otherwise, tea-tree oil or eucalyptus oil works well.

A cotton ball soaked in alcohol or an essential oil such as eucalyptus, lavender, etc., will effectively get it off for you. You may need to soak the edge of a credit card to get he big stuff off and then use the cotton ball for the residual. Scraping it with a credit card dipped in olive oil may work too.
