Semester/Exchange student?

I am going to be nearly 15 in Spring 2009, when I want to study abroad in Italy. I want to know if there are any programs that will let me be an exchange student when I am not quite 15, but almost will be. I only want semester programs, or programs 4-6 months. Only answer if you know a good program, dont say, you're too young to go so far away and stuff like that.

  1. I think AFS (American Field Services) offers exchange to 14-23 yrs. old. However, if your under 18 you need parental approval to go. There website is http://www.usa.afs.org/usa_en/home . I know this because I will be going to Japan in 2009 with AFS.

  2. If you are an American and want to participate on a full year or semester exchange, you will need to be between 15 - 18 1/2 years old. (The exception to that is on the older side -- a few organizations have "graduate" or "13th year" programs.) So, unfortunately, you may have to wait another year.
