Hola,

I'm 16 and for the first semester of my junior year * next year* ( I belive that's the fall semester in england) I'm wanting to an exchange ( like exchange program) over there.

So far I've gotten the CSIET advisory list and I've found a couple ones , but this being my first time ever doing this I'm not sure as to what I need to do.

I've talked to my guidence counsler.

and I need a program which will count my credits when I return to america.

BUT

What exchange programs are good

arn't too expensive

trust worthy

and have good host families

What am I to expect when I get in touch with a company?

and How hard is it to be chosen?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

thank youuuuu!!!

what am I to do in order to begin

  1. i live in England, am 17 and have only heard of exchanges to france or germany.

if you'll be in junior year next year and you want someone in the same year then the person you'll be exchanging with will be in what we call lower sixth, studying AS levels. the curriculum being the way it is, it isnt advisable for someone to take a week out of school. the only week they would be able to take out would be october "half term" which is usually the week at the end october.

if you want to visit while they are in school, its not incredibly exciting and the only time you'll get to go places of interest would be at the weekend.

you'll also need to think about the area you want to go to and what you want to do here.

if you give me more info i might be able to tell you more.

    hope this helps
