Seminoles set to celebrate a wonderful season in February 2012 – Volleyball news
The women’s volleyball team of Florida State University, commonly labelled as the Seminoles, had an amazing feat in the 2011 season.
The Seminoles appeared in the 35 matches and achieved 28-7 record at the end of the season. The team settled for many honours and earned great reputation during the momentous season.
Following the successful closing of 2011 season, the Seminoles are now scheduled to celebrate their achievements on February 5, 2012.
The official information has been released that the annual season-ending banquet will take place in the first week of February. The freshly renovated Tully Gym on the fourth court in the Florida State University will host the activity. The team members,
coaching staff, and other officials will get together, in order to celebrate the historic season.
Moreover, the 2012 banquet will be open to any interested attendees, with only a limited number of seats available.
The previous season truly brought a lot of success for the FSU Seminoles as they finished with their highest ranking ever at No. 7. The Seminoles reached the NCAA semi-final for the first time in the program history.
They were challenged by top-seeded UCLA Bruins in the crucial semi-final match, where the resilient rival UCLA proved to be stronger and won the match. However, it was a big achievement for FSU to dig a spot in the top four rankings of the tournament. Overall,
the team enjoyed a great form and completed the season on a good note.
With such success, the FSU’s hard-working squad has all rights to rejoice and celebrate. The annual banquet will create a wonderful chance for players to talk about their achievements in the season. The upcoming annual banquet will also offer different recognition
awards to the outstanding players, who put body, mind and soul to lead FSU to 28-7 record in the season.
The Head Coach of Seminoles, Chris Poole, will also join the team and his remarks will be essential part of the banquet. Furthermore, the Director of Florida State Athletics Randy Spetman and other FSU seniors will be among the guests of the banquet.
The tickets for the annual banquet of FSU will be available for $20, which will include dinner and tour of the renovated team area in Tully Gym. The tickets sale will be open until January 30.
