I just read New York Times Headline---- China Inspired Interrogations at Guantánamo http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/02/us/02detain.html?em&ex=1215144000&en=c0abf3c9181bff52&ei=5087%0A

If that is the case, then Hitler is innocent of Holocaust . He and Germans simply follow English Massacres at London (1189)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_in_England#Massacres_at_London_and_York_.281189.E2.80.931190.29

Or the storm troopers can be excused since they merely follow Spanish Jews persecution and massacres (1300 to 1391) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_in_Spain#Official_persecution_and_massacres_.281300_to_1391.29

US Senator Carl Levin seems to agree There is more at Google news;

  1. No. there's no connection.  Carl Levin is saying he wants intelligence, not faulty intelligence.  They are saying that interrogation used scrambles the brain of the interrogated, therefore provides faulty or unreliable intelligence. He wants only reliable intelligence.

    Quote:

    But Armed Services Committee chairman Senator Carl Levin, said: ‘Every  American will be shocked by the origin of the Guantanamo training document.

    ‘What makes this document doubly stunning is that these were techniques to get  false confessions. People say we need intelligence, and we do.

    'But we don't need false intelligence.’

    Before he died in 2003, Professor Biderman said: ‘The thing about  interrogation is  that you want information. That requires the use of someone's brain, recall,  understanding.

    'If you do all kinds of things to s***w up someone's brain, you won't have a good interrogation subject. You get a nice false confession, good stories. You'll get someone trying to please you.’

    /end quote

    Well, so vote McCain 2008.  McCain knows about torture first hand. His opinion would come from someone that isn't politically motivated to "stretch the facts." Although his opinion wouldn't actually be objective it would be subjective and highly personal, so that should be taken into account when he speaks.

    It's really faulty reasoning to link any of these events to the Holocaust, they don't even compare.  Those are single events in world history, where the country was doing more of what should be considered a pogrom. Whereas the Holocaust was a crime perpetuated by many while the rest of the world watched and failed to take action.

    I come from Sephardim lineage from Inquisition Spain then to Americas.  There was a mass and highly calculated pogrom but not even I call it a Holocaust.  It is a term used solely for people murdered during that specified timeframe in modern history.
